FOMO - The Fear of Missing Out
It’s hard not to get it when it comes to vacations.

We have so little time to vacation in our lives so we want to make it the best, do the best, see the best, have the best time that leads to the best memories and stories.

We want to see all and do all, and not miss out!

It’s a lot of pressure.

You, no doubt, have been researching, researching and more researching on what to do and see in Grand Teton National Park. Reading every blog post, comment, review and trip report Pinterest and Google have served up to you.

It can get overwhelming.

Well, thank goodness you are here.

Why?

Because…

I am from Wyoming and I am here to help. (Cue dramatic music).
On top of being a Wyoming Native, I have been coming to GTNP every summer to camp with my family for my 40+ years. We know GTNP inside and out and have put together a 3 Day Itinerary of all the things that are a Must See and Do in Grand Teton National Park.

Frequently Asked Questions
How is this itinerary different from the dozens of others out there?
The information comes from a Wyoming Native, (me!) who has spent 40+ summers in Grand Teton National Park. I have first hand experience with each place and activity, and extensive knowledge of each one because of numerous visits. My repeat visits to these spots enables me to have more in-depth knowledge, tips and tricks to share with you than an itinerary from a one time trip.
How is it determined that these are "The Best" and "Must See and Do" things in Grand Teton?
A couple of ways.

First, the places and things I suggest aren't the only things we've done and seen in Grand Teton National Park. We have seen, hiked, swam, boated, dined and explored many other places. Many of them are great, and some are not-so-great. The items in the itinerary are the ones we enjoy doing and seeing year after year, and the ones I tell my friends to do when they ask what to do on their Grand Teton vacations.

Second, I also paid special focus to things that are iconic to Grand Teton National Park and things that it is famous for, like the "Famous Four" Sights. These sights, Moulton Barns, Oxbow Bend, Schwabacher's Landing, and Snake River Overlook are the places you most likely have seen on Instagram, postcards, brochures, and pictures. I wanted to add those in so people would have the opportunity to see the iconic and famous spots.

Who is this itinerary for?
Really this itinerary is for anyone and everyone. As I said before, these are things and activities me and my family do every summer, and the things I highly recommend to friends.

To be specific, this itinerary is a good one for people's first time in GTNP.

It's also good for people who want to:
  • Sight See: and see specific iconic, famous spots
  • Hike: easy to moderate scenic hikes that have Teton Views
  • Experience: learn and cover as much as they can of GTNP
This itinerary is not geared to the experienced, high-elevation, back country hikers and campers. We have many suggestions of hikes and camp spots for them, but they are not included in this itinerary. We are currently developing hiking specific guides that we will share when complete.

Can I find all this information for free on the internet?
Some. You can find specific information about each spot and activity, even a lot from my blog posts at exploregtnp.com. What you can't find, or rather, is harder to find, is info on how to see them all making the best use of your time.

The advantage of this itinerary is that it tells you how to see everything in a planned out, efficient way over three days.  Each day lists specific activities in order that maximize your time and experience. It also provides extra tips and tricks to each activity.

This itinerary has everything in one place: the sights, hikes, dining, activities, driving directions, at-a-glance overviews, full information of each place and activity, tips, tricks and reminders, maps, safety information, pictures, and suggested supplies for safety, comfort, and convenience.
Can I do this itinerary in less than 3 days?
To do everything on the itinerary, and to do it well, I think you need three, full days, (hence the name).  Also, with these three, full days, you are going at a steady pace.

You may be able to do it in less time if you really hurry and rush everything, but I think you'd be missing out on some of the experience.

Is this guide available in print?
No, this is a digital download that you will have access to immediately upon purchase.
If I have any questions or concerns, may I contact you?
Of course! You can contact me via email anytime: jenn@exploregtnp.com
Anything else I should know?
Yes, if possible, read through the itinerary before your visit. There is a check list of suggested supplies included that you may want to make sure you have before arriving. There are also links to important information you need to know before coming to GTNP.

Also, cell service can sometimes be spotty in the park, so you may want to download the guide to your smartphone or digital device.

If viewing on a smartphone, hold the phone in landscape position for best results.
